Old North Wildwood McDonald's being demolished

Last week, we noted that the former North Wildwood McDonald's, which closed after the 2016 season, had been sold.

This morning, crews moved in to begin demolition of the structure.

The new owner, Philadelphia-based White Sand II LLC, purchased the property from the McDonald's Corporation for $1.25 million.

We are awaiting official word on what is to be built on the site.

This McDonald's location, which operated seasonally, had been a landmark on the North Wildwood entrance boulevard (Spruce Avenue) since 1982.

It is not to be confused with the McDonald's at Rio Grande & Park Avenues in Wildwood, which remains in operation.
