A.B.S. removed the sign from its longtime location at Boardwalk & Cedar Avenue in late November, and has since been working on the stages of its eventual rebirth.
In our last update, we saw that the script letters had been sanded and primed, and were in the process of being repainted. Prior to that, wiring and light socket repairs had been done, according to A.B.S. owner Randy Hentges.
As seen in the photo above, the paint job is nearing completion - the decades-old signage that looked so weathered when we last saw it on the boards appears almost brand new!
A.B.S. has also begun lighting tests, with neon outlining and flashing bulbs in action.
Catch of glimpse of what's to come HERE.
