The winter refurbishment of the famous Boardwalk Coca-Cola sign by A.B.S. Sign Company is kicking into high gear...

The sign arrived the A.B.S. shop after being removed from its longtime perch at Boardwalk & Cedar Avenue, above Harry's Corner back in late November.

"We have repaired a lot of wiring and light sockets, did a lot of sanding and metal repairs," said A.B.S. owner Randy Hentges.

The sign has also now been primed and paint work has begun.

Next up, neon tubing will be formed and fitted into the outlining (red) areas. Then, the letters will be studded with new bulbs, before reinstallation is ready this Spring.
