The Diamonds will shine "Under the Stars" in North Wildwood tonight

North Wildwood's Concerts Under the Stars series continues tonight with a performance by The Diamonds, starting at 8 p.m. at the Lou Booth Amphitheater (2nd & Ocean Avenues).

Credited with helping to cultivate the early sound of Rock 'n Roll, The Diamonds had an instant and enduring hit with "Little Darlin'" in 1957. They continue to tour regularly, playing hits from the '50s and '60s.

The group, which has included various members over the years, was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Doo Wop Hall of Fame in 2006.

Current members are: Gary Owens (baritone/tenor sax), Jerry Siggins (lead/valve trombone), Sean Sooter (tenor/alto sax) and Jeff Dolan (slide trombone).
