Seaside Attraction Announces Lineup for
2016 Wild Race Series Including New Fall Races

Throughout 2016 Morey’s Piers, the classic seaside attraction located on the boardwalk of the Wildwoods, NJ, is offering running enthusiasts a variety of competitions with the Wild Half Race Series.
Starting with the Wild Half Marathon and 8K on May 15, 2016, and introducing the new 5k and 10k races on September 10, 2016, each Wildwoods course will lead runners from ocean views to an action-packed boardwalk.
The early registration price of $90 for the half marathon and $50 for the 8K is now available for participants who sign-up before November 1. A special Wild Child Beach Run for ages 12 and under will be held on May 14, 2016; early registration price is $25 per child.
Each registered participant will receive a free unlimited ride wristband to Morey’s Piers for use May 13-15, 2016. Runners can purchase additional ride wristbands for friends and family to enjoy the fun at the special spectator price of $55.

The price of registration ranges from $90 to $140 depending on the race category and date of registry.
New this year, the Wild Half Virtual Run offers athletes flexibility to compete in the Wild Half or 8K, wherever and whenever. Those unable to travel to the Wildwoods for the race date can still get in on the Morey’s Piers fun.
Virtual runners will receive an official Wild Half race bib, Wild Half t-shirt, and finisher medal for completing a half marathon or 8K distance between their registration date and May 18th, 2016.
Runners must email first and last name, race location and finish time to wild.half@moreyspiers.com, and share a photo taken while running to the Wild Half Marathon and 8K Facebook page. The Wild Half Virtual run is $90 for the Half and $50 for the 8k when registering before November 1, 2015.
Later in the year, Morey’s Piers will host a 10K and 5K race on September 10, 2016.
As an added twist, coaster enthusiasts can participate in a unique 5K race by riding a combination of Morey's Piers’ six coasters for a total of 3.1 miles of coaster track.
More details on and registration for the fall races will open in early 2016. Prices range from $35 to $100, depending on the race category and date of registry.
