The Wildwoods Host Annual Roar to the Shore Motorcycle Rally, Sept. 5-8

For many, it’s a yearly pilgrimage – for some, it’s a first time excursion – for all involved, it’s one of the most exciting and fun weekends of the year.

The Roar to the Shore Motorcycle Rally, set for Thursday, September 5 through Sunday, September 8 in Wildwood, NJ, will play host to the largest free motorcycle rally in the Northeast, with free live entertainment, motorcycle vendors, food and merchandise vendors and great events all weekend long.

Roar to the Shore thrives in the Wildwoods because of its centralized location on the East Coast, 150 miles or less from most major cities including, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. there’s no need to trailer your bikes to this rally.

Once you are here, you can sit back, relax and enjoy the festivities, or take a ride along the scenic roads of Cape May County. Stroll through hundreds of national vendors distributed throughout five separate vending lots peddling everything from cigars to leather to jewelry to motorcycles. 

Whether you’re looking for motorcycle parts, paint or patches, you’re guaranteed to find what you’re looking for. Roar to the Shore will also include events such as a guided ride to Kindle Ford for a pig roast; a FREE Walking Poker Run; Biker Babe Contest; Rubber Duck Boardwalk Ride and Harley Davidson Motorcycle Give Away; Battle of the Biker Bands Semi-Finals and Finals; and a Custom Boardwalk Bike Show.

Roar to the Shore is packed with pure entertainment from start to finish. Come and see how local officials, law enforcement, restaurant and bar owners, sponsors and rally attendees come together to make Roar to the Shore one of the largest free motorcycle rallies on the East Coast!

Vendor areas are open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-10 p,m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.

The Tourism Authority operates the Wildwoods Convention Center and acts as the island’s destination marketing organization overseeing the development, research, planning, marketing, advertising, promotion, public and media relations encompassing the tourism, meeting and convention industry in the Wildwoods. Additionally, the Authority funds, assists with and hosts more than 180 annual special events to enhance the visitor experience and extend the tourism season, including the Beach Monster Mash Truck Races, Family Nights On The Boardwalk, Friday Night Fireworks, the New Jersey State Barbeque Championships and Anglesea Blues Festival, Classic Car Shows, the International Kite Festival, Irish and Italian Festivals and the National Marbles Tournament, among others.
