John Donio, President of Tailfin Properties, Owner of The Daytona Inn and Suites of Wildwood, and Managing Partner of Tilton Holdings, is the new president of The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID).
“The Wildwood Business Improvement District has made tremendous strides in the past year and I’m looking forward to working with all of the talented people on this board to continue the positive momentum” said Donio.
Donio serves on the Town of Hammonton Parks Commission and Lake Water Quality Committees. He is a member of the Greater Wildwoods Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Wildwoods Hotel and Motel Association and the Wildwoods’ Doo Wop Preservation League Board of Trustees. He is a graduate of The College of New Jersey.
Donio’s charitable activities include: collecting donations for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, sponsoring the annual Nun’s Beach Surf Classic in Stone Harbor, NJ (benefiting the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary) as well as being honored by the Wounded Healer Crisis Center in Pitman, New Jersey for his annual work in giving underprivileged children and their families a place to vacation in the summer (Project K.I.D.S.).
Before starting his own real estate management and hospitality company, Donio spent most of his summers as a teenager working as a lifeguard in and around Wildwood.
Donio spends most of his free time raising his son Frankie and coaching for the Hammonton Youth Soccer Association and St. Joseph’s Regional Elementary School Soccer program as well as acting as lead vocals for a local South Jersey cover band called Furious George.
