THE WILDWOODS - The PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic will serve up some top-notch volleyball action on the Wildwoods beaches Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2, 2024.
Featured courts will be located at Morey’s Piers’ PigDog Beach Bar, located on the beach between Oak and Maple Avenues. There’s an opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to bump, set, and spike in the shadow of America’s largest seaside amusement park. Divisions range from recreational to top-tier, youth through adult, and doubles as well as teams of six players.
The PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic was brought to the Wildwoods by Great American Volleyball, which was established in 2002 and developed into one of the premier volleyball tours in the country and the largest on the eastern seaboard.
The organization that started with just a few beach volleyball tournaments has now grown into having a full season of beach and grass tournaments, leagues for players of every experience level and youth programs at locations all over the state of New Jersey.
Top level players will compete for prize money and all lower divisions play for merchandise prizes. Play begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. each day.
Spectators are welcome to view the event free of charge. The best access to the check in tents is from the boardwalk at Oak Avenue/North of Mariner’s Pier.
