Steve’s Prince of Steaks turns on the lights, now hiring as grand opening nears

With its much-anticipated debut inching closer,
Steve’s Prince of Steaks Wildwood offered a glimpse of things to come earlier this week.

When the sun went down Tuesday evening, the newly-renovated property at New Jersey & Juniper Avenues showed off its vibrant exterior lighting package, crafted and installed by Wildwood’s own A.B.S. Sign Co.

Featuring horizontal neon signage running the length of the north and west-facing sides, with Steve’s crown-topped logo as the corner centerpiece, the presentation echoes the look of the institution’s original locations in and around Philadelphia, while paying tribute to the Wildwoods’ traditional “Doo Wop” stylings.

"Wow! We love what Steve's Prince of Steaks did with the exterior of their building," read a post from the Doo Wop Preservation League on its official Facebook page. "Embracing a fun theme helps a business stand out and gets lots of free advertising on social media (look, they're getting some right now). Embracing Doo Wop isn't just 'old motels.' It's a theme. And, if done correctly, brings lots of attention."

According to a Steve's Prince of Steaks company representative, work on the exterior and interior of the building is just about complete. Management is hoping to announce a grand opening for some time in March, dependent on city approval of licenses and permits.

In the meantime, the location is now hiring for all positions.

Those interested in employment are asked to call or text 609-300-6440.

Once open, Steve’s Prince of Steaks will offer window-ordering service (no interior seating), with plans to operate year round. The building was previously home to Classic Sandwiches, which closed after the Summer 2022 season.
