Unfortunate news to pass along this afternoon, as we have received official word that the 2018 Boots at the Beach Country Music Festival has been cancelled.
The following was posted on the event's official Facebook page...
We are sad to say that the 2018 Boots at the Beach Festival has been cancelled due to to the uncertain forecast and potential impact of Hurricane Florence. More specifically, the threat of gale force winds, tidal street flooding and steady rain through Saturday evening.
Understand that this was not an easy decision, and this was a collaborative decision between many agencies. The main focus was everyone's safety and enjoyment. This, after all, is an OUTDOOR festival.
Be known, the eight bars and restaurants in the festival area will be OPEN FOR BUSINESS as usual, most of which have country entertainment booked for the weekend.
We appreciate all of your support and will be back, BIGGER and BETTER in 2019!
