On Deck: The Race of Gentlemen

Are you ready for one of the wildest weekends of the Wildwoods' early season events calendar?

The Race of Gentlemen takes over the island this Friday, Saturday and Sunday - June 8-10 - with vintage racing on the beach, and so much more!

TROG takes spectators and racers alike back to "a simpler time, when guys were gentlemen and cars were king!" Over 100 vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1947) will compete in exhibition-style races at the water's edge between Schellenger and Spicer Avenues.

The event grounds on the beach will feature a festival-like atmosphere, with vehicles on display, exhibitions, live entertainment, vendors, food and something to see at every turn.

The weekend kicks off on Friday with "The Night of the Troglodytes," a chopper party set around the area where race vehicles are on display.

Gates open on Saturday at 9 am, for vintage auto and motorcycle races from 10 am to 6 pm, and live rock 'n roll all day. A bonfire and beach party will take place on Saturday night from 7 pm until midnight.

On Sunday, gates open at 10 am. Beach races will take place from 10 am to 6 pm, followed by an awards ceremony and beach party.

Note: No coolers will be permitted on the beach. Beverages will be available for sale.

(Race times may vary depending on ocean tide.)

Full weekend passes are available for purchase online and at the door. Single day tickets will only be available for purchase at the door.
