Wild Wings Festival, Movies on the Beach, and Halloween Spooktacular coming to Wildwood

Three new events join the previously announced Good Eats Food Truck Festival from promoter Seaside Events...

Seaside Events has announced the addition of three events for the 2018 season. Last week, the Good Eats Food Truck Festival was announced for May 19th and October 20th at Fox Park.

Joining the event lineup will be the Wild Wings Festival on August 31st at Fox Park, Wildwood Halloween Spooktacular on October 27th at Fox Park, and the return of Movies on the Beach Thursdays from July 5th to August 16th at Leaming Ave Beach.

The events will target locals and vacationers of Wildwood and the surrounding area. More details will be released starting May 8th, when websites will be live and tickets will be available for purchase for the Wild Wings Festival.

Wild Wings Festival

Calling all wing fans! The Wild Wings Festival kicks off Labor Day Weekend at Fox Park on August 31st from 5 PM-10 PM. You won’t want to miss the 20 wing vendors serving wings of all varieties, or the Wing Girls guiding you through this ultimate culinary wing experience.

Enjoy DJ Slice spinning music, visit the Wild Wings Beer Garden with serve ice cold beer, or try our attractions including a 25’ rock wall, supersized pong, battle balls, and more. Plus, take a spin on the mechanical bull or enter the cornhole tournament with a cash prize of up to $250! Think you can eat the most wings? Our competitions throughout the day will crown a King and Queen of Wild Wings, with cool prizes including cash up to $500!

The event is free to enter, with Wing Cards available for purchase. RSVP and Tickets open to the public when the website launches May 8 at www.wildwingsfest.com to help us prepare enough wings to feed the crowd! Don’t forget, bicycles, outside food and beverage, and pets other that service dogs are not permitted in Fox Park. Please drink responsibly.

Movies on the Beach

Movies on the Beach returns to Wildwood this summer with 7 weeks of fun from July 5th to August 16th. The event is FREE each week! Each Thursday, join us on Leaming Ave Beach to see the 30ft inflatable movie screen showcase a new and popular movie rated G, PG or PG-13.

Enjoy dinner and a movie with our food vendors, plus have a snack from our kettlecorn, ice cream, or funnel cake vendors! The event opens at 7:30 PM, with the movie starting as soon as dusk hits, around 8:30 PM. Beach chairs and blankets are encouraged, but please no tents, umbrellas, or flags.

Website launches May 8 at www.wildwoodbeachmovies.com. Weather cancellations and delays are posted on our Facebook page by 5 PM on the same day as the movie. Outside food and beverage, and pets other than service dogs are not permitted.

Wildwood Halloween Spooktacular

Don’t be scared, the Wildwood Halloween Spooktacular is coming to Fox Park on October 27!

This family friendly event features fun for everyone. Pumpkins will be available for picking and painting, and a “scary” Hay Maze will provide endless fun. Come see the live show featuring professional pumpkin carving, starting at noon. Kids will enjoy trick or treating at the row of themed, interactive booths including Ghosts Galore, Super Superheroes, Pretty Princesses, A Wild Halloween and more.

The whole family can join the Spooky Scavenger hunt kicking off at 1 PM, with prizes for the winners! Come dressed up to join the all ages costume contest where prizes include bicycles, toys, gift cards, season passes to local attractions, and cash prizes for the adult and family categories. Join the cornhole tournament, too!

Food tents will provide a variety of cuisine throughout the day, and the vendor row will feature everything from Halloween merchandise to household décor. DJ Slice will provide music through the day. Show us your moves during the last 15 minutes of every hour for the Spooky Dance Party.

Kids will especially enjoy face painting, magicians, themed characters, bounce houses and more. All attendees will receive a goodie bag with candy, toys, or Halloween merchandise at entry. The event is free entry.
