Tornado Watch in effect for Cape May County until 1 am
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch, in effect until 1 am EST on Sunday, May 13 for eight New Jersey counties:
Cape May County, Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean & Salem.
Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms before 3am, then a chance of showers. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog after 3am. Low around 55. South wind 8 to 10 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Sunday
A chance of showers. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 59. Northeast wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Sunday Night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11pm and 2am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 54. Northeast wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
