WILD Weekend: Celebrating St. Patrick's Day in the Wildwoods

St. Patrick's Day is always well celebrated in the Jersey Shore, especially in North Wildwood - with the annual parade along Atlantic Avenue and the lively pub scene on and around Olde New Jersey.

This year, March 17 falls on a Saturday, making it an extra special occasion.

The North Wildwood St. Patrick's Day Celebration & Parade will begin with a ceremony on the front steps of City Hall (10th & Atlantic) at 11:30 am. The parade will kick off from this location at noon and proceed north on Atlantic to Olde New Jersey.

A colorful collections of local and guest organizations will take part, including VFW Color Guard, Vietnam Veterans of America, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Irish Pipe Brigade, Emerald Society, Miss North Wildwood Mae Cecilla Bischoff, Queen Oceania, Anglesea Irish Society, Sheriff Mounted Patrol, school bands and more.

Dolly McGee will serve as this year's Grand Marshal.

The festivities are FREE to attend and enjoy.
