OH, WHAT A ROAR...
Early March has lived up to its temperamental reputation, with one nasty storm already in the books and, apparently, another on its way this week.
Still, we can see Spring on the horizon (official first day is March 20), a promise made easier by the recent reopening of more businesses and the buzz of activity all over the island.
Still, we can see Spring on the horizon (official first day is March 20), a promise made easier by the recent reopening of more businesses and the buzz of activity all over the island.
Each week, this list will update businesses scheduled to open in the coming weeks and months, as we move forward on the road to Summer 2018.
(Business dates and hours are always subject to change; keep in mind that many businesses are open for weekends and/or limited hours this time of year.)
Now OPEN!
Cool Scoops Ice Cream Parlor (1111 New Jersey Avenue) opened for its 17th season this past weekend; the retro-50's delight will keep Fri/Sat/Sun hours until early May, when it will be open everyday.
Two weekends ago, Keenan's Irish Pub kicked off its 20th Anniversary season in conjunction with the Fallen Heroes Polar Plunge. It joined a strong roster of bar/pub/restaurants open in North Wildwood, along with The Inlet on Olde (formerly Westy's), Anglesea Pub and Owen's Pub, along with Mulligan's in Wildwood.
Sam's Pizza Palace has re-opened to big weekend crowds at 26th & Boardwalk. Neighboring Gateway 26 opened several weeks back for a Friday-Saturday-Sunday schedule, as has Rapunzel's (2202 Boardwalk) and The Original Fudge Kitchen (Roberts Avenue location - 4102 Boardwalk).
Around the island, a variety of favorites are OPEN, including the Star Diner, Vegas Diner, A&LP and Sand Jamm 5Mile in North Wildwood, and Goodnight Irene's, Alfe's Restaurant and the Key West Cafe in Wildwood.

Coming Up...
Romeo's Famous Pizzeria, which was originally scheduled to open this past weekend but held off due to the weather, will kick off its 2018 season on Friday. Also opening at the start of the weekend will be Marvis Diner, at Pacific & Rio Grande.
This coming Saturday, The Surfing Pig will reopen for the Erin Express Pub Crawl. The Original Fudge Kitchen's store at 22nd & Boardwalk will also open Saturday, joining the Roberts Avenue shop (which is open on weekends, year round). Beefie's, a new sandwich shop in North Wildwood is still aiming for a mid-month opening. And Mariner's Arcade has announced that it will also be welcoming guests this month (exact date TBD).
