Capt'n Jack's Island Grill (2701 Boardwalk) has dropped a hint about some changes on the horizon for the upcoming season.
Via Facebook, the two-story restaurant/pub posted the above photo with a caption that reads:
"Something really big is coming to Capt'n Jacks for Summer 2018! Check back here to find out what and follow the progress."
Now, generally, we avoid speculation. Buuuuut, it's no secret that the neighboring Sand Jamm Surf Shop at the base of the old Hunt's Pier is not returning. We are looking at the former second level sales floor in this photo.
(Sand Jamm 5Mile, which debuted last Spring, is now open year round at 26th & New Jersey Avenues.)
It looks like a major expansion for Capt'n Jack's is in the works, but we'll have to wait and see exactly what it entails.
