The Wildwood City Wide Yardsale kicks of Saturday August 19th at 7 AM for the second year.
A great way to clear out the house or find that special item at a great price, the City Wide Yardsale has something for everyone. Event organizer, Boardwalk Entertainment, is searching for more homes to add to the map. Last year over a dozen homes participated in sales around town.
This year, the event hopes to have 25 or more homes registered. The event ends at 3 PM, an hour later than last year’s event.
“Last year we had a great turnout for the yardsale, and that was in the fall,” said Amanda Thomas, owner of Boardwalk Entertainment. “We took the suggestions of moving it to the summer, and the 19th is a perfect date. Now we just have to hope for good weather!”
It is free to participate in the Wildwood City Wide Yardsale, and to be listed on the yardsale map. Residents of all the Wildwoods can participate, however homes in the three neighboring towns must secure proper permits from their municipality, if so required.
From there, addresses will be added to the map. Residents may visit the website and complete the form to be added to the map.
The map will be constantly updated online up until the day of the event. Starting Thursday, August 17, printed maps will be available at City Hall.
Registered homes deciding not to participate after submitting information should email info@boardwalkentco.com to be immediately removed from the map so that shoppers will have the most up to date information.
Just a reminder to sellers, any unsold items are not to be left at the curb after the sale, unless it is the designated trash day for the residence. Large items such as appliances, mattresses, and furniture may have additional trash rules, and information can be found by calling the Clerk’s Office.
All items sold at the yardsale must be in sellable condition, and to the best of the sellers knowledge, not contain any mold, bugs, damages, or other hazardous conditions, unless otherwise stated to the buyer.
