Portable toilets to remain on Crest beach through September

The Borough of Wildwood Crest has announced that portable toilets will remain on Wildwood Crest beaches for public usage through Sunday, Oct. 1.

Portable toilets are located midway between the dunes and the high tide line every four to five blocks along the beach in Wildwood Crest.

“We get some of the best weather of the year during the month of September and many people take advantage of that by using the beaches during that time,” said Don Cabrera, Wildwood Crest Commissioner of Public Works and Recreation. “With that in mind, we thought it would be prudent to keep the portable toilets in place through the entire month.”

The public is reminded that while the beach is open, lifeguards in Wildwood Crest are finished for the season on Sunday, Sept. 9. Wildwood Crest urges beachgoers to swim only when beaches are protected.
