UPDATE...
Because we have been receiving a large number of emails and Facebook messages asking, we want to reiterate:
The Wildwoods' beaches are OPEN and will remain so, despite the New Jersey government shutdown.
"All of our beaches are owned and operated by the municipalities," North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello confirmed. "The state shutdown has no impact on our beaches."
Large crowds, in fact, have flocked to the beaches of North Wildwood, Wildwood and Wildwood Crest throughout the extended holiday weekend.
The shutdown only affects state owned and operated entities, including state parks and recreation areas, and some historical sites.
Again, though, the Wildwoods are completely unaffected by this.
