An exciting addition is coming to Grassy Sound in 2017!
The Shack at Grassy Sound Marina, set to open in late Spring/early Summer, will feature bayfront dining, catering to walk-in customers and boaters.
The new eatery will be a partnership between the proprietors of The Establishment at 100 in North Wildwood, Andrew & Sarah Steiner, and Gina & Troy Jordan, who are leasing the property from Grassy Sound Marina owners Debbie & Jim Mooers.
The Shack will function as The Establishment's "sister restaurant," according to Sarah Steiner.
"We are super excited to have found Grassy Sound Marina," she told Wildwood 365. "It's an awesome facility with the best waterfront views in Cape May County."
Steiner informed us that work is well underway and will continue through the winter months to come.
Here's what we know about The Shack so far...
• It will be a BYOB restaurant.
• The menu will feature fresh and locally sourced seafood.
• There will be 10 slips available for the restaurant, allowing boaters and paddle boarders to dock and dine.
• Delivery service to Champagne Island will be offered during the height of the summer season.
• Live entertainment will be scheduled for summer weekends.
Regarding service, Steiner informed:
"We will be implementing a pager system. A hostess will seat the customer - from there orders will be taken at our service counter, then a pager will be given to the customer to let them know when food is ready for pick up. There will be no waitstaff or food runners.
"We are expecting to open late spring or early summer, starting off with the breakfast and lunch service. We will be open for dinner during Restaurant Week, then go full swing for the Fourth of July."
