Morey's Piers Hosts Students For A Hands-On Culinary Arts Workshop

Partnership with Wildwood High School Helps
Jump Start College and Career Readiness

PRESS RELEASE

Twenty-six high school students attended Wednesday’s workshop as part of an ongoing series to prepare students for college and careers by introducing them to new opportunities within the amusement industry.

The curriculum focused on Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Operations and included participation in a hands on cooking demonstration led by Morey’s Piers Executive Chef, Walter Jurusz.

Throughout the day the students also learned about food safety, menu engineering and the purchasing and inventory process for over 30 different food outlets throughout the piers and water parks.

On October 5, Morey’s Piers will be hosting a third workshop for the students in Hospitality & Hotel Operations.
