Wildwood earns #3 spot on The Daily Meal's list of "Best Boardwalks for Food in America"
Yet another substantial honor was announced for the Wildwoods today, as The Daily Meal ranked our world famous promenade #3 on its list of the "31 Best Boardwalks for Food in America!"
Wildwood beat out some of the most famous boardwalks in the country, finishing behind only Mission Beach Boardwalk in San Diego and Ocean City, Maryland.
In total, eight New Jersey boardwalks made the list, including neighboring South Jersey towns Atlantic City (right behind at #4) and Ocean City (#15).
The entry for Wildwood reads:
With heavy Philadelphia culinary influences, the Wildwood Boardwalk food scene is bursting with fried and gourmet options alike. Head to Curley's for their signature fries or mosey on down to Douglass Fudge's delicious sweet shop. With spots like Philly's own Chickie's & Pete's making name for themselves on the boards, it will be hard to choose where you'd like to eat first. Just make sure you watch the tram car, please!
Of course, we could easily name about a few dozen places that deserve recognition (what, no mention of pizza, cheesesteaks, ice cream, water ice, or... well, you get the point), but it's nonetheless GREAT to see yet another high-profile accolade come the Wildwoods' way!
