The Wildwoods to Host Country Music Artist and South Jersey Native Payton Taylor at Lou Booth Amphitheater - Saturday, July 26th

PRESS RELEASE

The Wildwoods, NJ – July 14, 2014 – Country Music Artist and Washington Township, NJ native Payton Taylor will make the Wildwoods the final stop on her tri-state Hometown Tour, performing a FREE concert at the Lou Booth Amphitheater, 2nd & Ocean Avenues in North Wildwood on Saturday, July 26 at 8 p.m.

Taylor has performed through the tri-state area as part of her ‘Hometown Tour’ to sold-out crowds and packed venues.

She made the move to Nashville, TN in January 2013 to better pursue her career as a country music artist. Since then, she has been named by NBC affiliate, WSMV-TV in Nashville as one of the top three emerging female artists in country music.

She was also a featured emerging artist in both 2013 and 2014 at the Country Music Association Festival/Fan Fair in Nashville. During her ‘Hometown Tour’ Taylor said, “It just wouldn’t feel like summer without performing at some of my favorite tri-state area venues… I grew up here and discovered my passion for music here.”

The Lou Booth summer concert series traditionally hosts Doo-Wop groups, tribute artists and big bands. Lou Booth Amphitheater concert series organizer Joe Quattrone wanted to bring Payton Taylor to the venue in response to the growing number of country music fans in the North Wildwood area and to further diversify the style of music presented at the venue.

Fans in attendance will be among the first to be able to purchase Taylor’s recently released CD, entitled ‘Proud.’ The CD is a collection of six songs the 17-year-old singer/songwriter penned herself, with long-time co-writer, Joe Caliva.

“Every song on this project was written while I lived here in New Jersey, or was inspired by something here,” Taylor says. ‘Nothing seems more fitting than to make this be the place where it debuts.”

Payton Taylor’s performance is FREE to the public.
