Starting February 21, Morey’s Piers, the classic shore side amusement park destination located on the boardwalk in the Wildwoods, NJ, invites runners of The Wild Half to train together with a customized 12-week social media training program.
The 13.1 mile half marathon and 8K race along the Wildwoods coastline will be held on May 18, 2014.

Posts will include week-long running schedules with specific miles and goals, tips, tricks, motivational quotes, and more.
Now through February 28, 2014, Morey’s Piers is offering $10 off race registration by using the promotion code TRAIN. To sign-up for The Wild Half or 8K, visit www.runwildwoods.com.
Registration is $85 for the half marathon and $45 for the 8K; prices scheduled to increase on March 1, 2014.
The Wild Half’s scenic Wildwoods course will lead runners from ocean views to an action-packed boardwalk.
Several fun-filled activities are scheduled during the race weekend, including: a finish line festival featuring live music and food; a Health & Fitness Expo at the Wildwoods Convention Center; Kids Fun Run; Vinyasa Yoga on the beach; and a “Piers & Pasta” dinner at Joe’s Fish Co.
In addition, each registered participant will receive a free unlimited ride wristband to Morey’s Piers for use on both May 17 and 18, 2014. Runners can purchase additional ride wristbands for friends and family to enjoy the fun at the special spectator price of $39.

The Wild Half Marathon’s “Go Wild for Charity” program enables athletes to support and raise money for their favorite charitable organizations.
Official charity partners of the 2014 Wild Half include ALS Chapter of Greater Philadelphia, a leading non-profit organization in the fight against Lou Gehrig’s Disease; Lunch with Lynch, which supports learning experiences for the children of the Glenwood Avenue Elementary School and all the schools in the Wildwoods; and JDRF South Jersey, funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
