Irish Fall Festival, Day 1

The 22nd Annual Irish Fall Festival officially kicked off this morning with an outing at the Cape May National Golf Course.
 
The focus of the four-day celebration shifts to Anglesea this evening, when the big tent at The Pointe at Moore's Inlet will be transformed into a boxing arena.
 
Ten amateur boxing bouts, sanctioned by the MAA/USA will feature the Harrowgate Boxing Club of Philadelphia vs. the Holy Family Boxing Club of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
 
The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door. For advance tickets, call 215-465-1778 or 609-970-0601.

Tomorrow (Friday), the festivities will move to Olde New Jersey Avenue, where they will be centered through Sunday. Vendors will offer a variety of Irish, clothing, memorabilia, and food from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. each day. Friday and Saturday will also feature free live entertainment continuously from noon - 10:30 p.m.

Registration - 1st & New Jersey Aves. - 7:30 a.m.
Race begins at 8:30 a.m.
* All proceeds will be donated to Wildwood Catholic High School

Brian Riley Pipe Exhibition
8th & Central Avenues - 10 a.m.

Irish Dance Lessons   * FREE
Anglesea Volunteer Firehouse (2nd & Olde New Jersey)  -  11 a.m. - 1 p.m.


Sunday, September 22nd

Olde New Jersey Avenue
Vendors  -  8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Catholic Mass at St. Ann's Church (2900 Atlantic Ave.) - 10:30 a.m.

PARADE - Begins at 12:30 p.m.
* Starts at 20th & Surf, proceeds north on Surf to Spruce & Olde New Jersey Aves.
