104th Wildwoods Baby Parade set for July 31st

The Wildwood Civic Club presents the 104th Annual Wildwoods Baby Parade on Wednesday, July 31 at 6 p.m. on the Wildwoods Boardwalk. The theme of this year’s baby parade is “Love Those Wildwood(s) Days! – The Past, Present and Future.”

A beloved Wildwood tradition since 1909, participation in the Wildwoods Baby Parade is FREE and open to all children under 12 years of age. Parents can register their child in the following categories: Cutest Baby Boy, Cutest Baby Girl, Fanciest Children, Most Original Children, Best Dressed, Best Costume and Best Float.

Grand Marshalls of the 2013 Baby Parade will be the Bradshaw-Roach Family and the Scully Family who have contributed to the growth of the Wildwoods in the past and present, as well as looking to continue in the future.

 Registration will take place before the parade from 4:30 - 5:15 p.m. in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center, located at Burk Avenue and the Boardwalk in Wildwood, where the parade line-up will take place. Judging will take place during line-up at 5 p.m. The parade will begin promptly at 6 p.m. and will proceed north up the Wildwoods Boardwalk to 16th Avenue, where prizes and awards will be announced.

Complimentary trolley service will be available throughout the parade to transport participants between from where the parade ends at 16th Street in North Wildwood back to parking areas in Wildwood. The rain date for the parade is scheduled for Thursday, August 1.

The Tourism Authority operates the Wildwoods Convention Center and acts as the island’s destination marketing organization overseeing the development, research, planning, marketing, advertising, promotion, public and media relations encompassing the tourism, meeting and convention industry in the Wildwoods.
