TravelNerd, the travel arm of NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy site, has named the Wildwoods one of its top ten "best beach towns for families."
According to the site, "TravelNerd specifically looked for small beach towns that had a great mix of outdoor activities, family-friendly institutions and safe, fun beaches for the little ones."
Also making the list were (no specific order of ranking): Treasure Island, FL; Hilton Head Island, SC; Rohoboth, DE; Chincoteague, VA; Mackinac Island, MI; Gulf Shores, AL; Friday Harbor, WA; and Tybee Island, GA.
