Governor Christie visits the Boardwalk as part of MDW Jersey Shore tour

Governor Chris Christie made a stop on the Boardwalk this afternoon as part of his Memorial Day Weekend tour of towns along the Jersey Shore.

The appearances were meant to serve as a rallying point in the region's recovery from Hurricane Sandy, and to further stress that the shore is open for business.

Christie arrived at 26th Avenue and eventually made his way down to Mariner's Landing (between Cedar & Schellenger), shaking hands and posing for photos with large crowds of holiday 'walk-goers.
