Here come the Mummers!

No town loves its parades more than North Wildwood, which makes Anglesea and the Mummers a perfect fit.

The annual Mummers Brigage Weekend kicks off tonight at 7 p.m., with a pub crawl and friendly competition amonst various clubs at local businesses along and near Olde New Jersey Avenue.

The fun continues on Saturday with a block party on Olde New Jersey from 3:30 - 4:45 p.m.

The Mummers Parade will begin at 2nd & Olde New Jersey at 4:45 with ten brigades from this year's New Year's Day Parade in Philly participating: Satin Slipper Fancy Brigade, The Shooters, Clevemore, Avenuers, Saturnalian, Downtowners, Golden Crown, The Jokers, Shooting Stars, and South Philly Vikings.

The brigades will perform without the pressure of competition, and spectators will be able to get up-close views of the beautiful costumes and intricate dance steps these eccentric performers display.
