Morey's Piers to launch season with annual Easter festivities

It's hard to believe that it's that time of year already, but here we are...

Only 18 days to go until Easter Sunday, the date that has long represented the "unofficial opening" of the Boardwalk following its long winter slumber.

Our friends at Morey's Piers will launch the 2011 season the weekend prior - with Mariner's Landing opening its gates from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 16th, and from noon to 5 pm. on Sunday, April 17th.

On Easter, the pier will host its traditional family event from noon to 5 p.m., with a variety of attractions and activities in store.

Keeping in theme with the day, the Easter Bunny will be on hand to pose for photos at the Parents' Pavilion all afternoon. Children 12 years and under will also have the opportunity to "Pick an Easter Egg" for a chance to win prizes (while supplies last, so come early!).

A "Monster Mural" will be set up, which kids can help color and design; free face painting will be available, and there will be strolling entertainment throughout the pier.

“There’s nothing like seeing families celebrating the start of the spring season on the Wildwoods Boardwalk with Morey’s,” said Kristel Fillmore, Events and Entertainment Manager. “It’s one of our favorite traditions.”
