Battle on the Beach Flag Football Tournament returns to the Wildwoods ~ July 13-14

THE WILDWOODS - The Wildwoods are hosting a flag football tournament like no other! 

Morey’s Piers is a proud sponsor of the Battle on the Beach Flag Football Tournament to be held Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 on beach in the Wildwoods. Quickly becoming a family tradition for flag football players from across the region, this awesome summer beach event features five vs. five beach flag football for boys and girls ages 5 through 17, as well as adults. 

This tournament is open to any youth travel, recreation, or other team from any organization that meets the age standards. Premier, Travel, and Recreation divisions will be established to accommodate any team that wants to join the Battle on the Beach fun. 

There is an entrance fee for participants, but no fee for spectators. Sit in the sun and on the sand and enjoy the competitive play of flag football on the beach! 

Divisions for the tournament will be formed by age using the following designations: 

• Youth Divisions (based on child’s age on December 31, 2023). Age Groups: 5-7 yrs., 8-9 yrs., 10-11 yrs., 12-14 yrs., 15-17 yrs., 18+. 
• The oldest person on the roster shall determine the age group for any team. Youth players can play up in older youth divisions only. However, players may not play down. 
• Teams/Divisions are age-based only. All are welcome. Teams can be co-ed, all boys, or all girls. This will not determine the bracket individuals are placed in. 

Rosters and proof of age will be required at registration; player cards will be accepted for travel teams; a copy of a birth certificate will be required for all non-carded youth players. Proof of age is required at registration. Trophies will be provided for first-place finishers in all divisions, and medals for second place.

Each team will receive 10 multi-day passes valid for the weekend at Morey’s Piers Amusements and Water Parks as part of their registration fee. Passes are good for admission to both Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Water Parks, and all three Morey’s Piers Amusement Piers (Mariner’s, Adventure and Surfside Piers). 

Teams will also get two bonus days on Friday and Monday to enjoy the rides and water parks.
