Keenan's to host Christmas-themed pop-up bar this holiday season

Make NoHoHo mistake about it, the Wildwoods have become a holiday season destination, with a list of festive events and yuletide traditions that keeps on growing!

Earlier today, we learned that Keenan's Irish Pub will be getting in on the merriment by transforming its adjoining restaurant, the Neighborhood Grille, into a Christmas-themed pop-up bar.

The Gingerbread Grille will open every weekend through the holidays starting on Black Friday - November 24.

According to the announcement on Facebook, this temporary winter wonderland will feature "festive drinks (all your favorite martinis), light bites and endless decorations."

This will be, to our knowledge, the first pop-up bar to, well, "pop up" in the Wildwoods. The trend has taken hold in major metro areas in recent years, with Santa-on-steroids locales like Tinsel and Alpine Heights at the Assembly Room Lounge in Philadelphia, and Grinchy's in New York City.

Last year, AGAVE Tequila Bar in Stone Harbor became Miracle on 96th Street, the "first holiday-themed pop-up bar at the shore."

Keenan's also recently announced its New Year's Weekend schedule, highlighted by the annual New Year's Eve Kids Party (3-6 pm) and New Year's Eve Party (8 pm - 1 am) on Sunday, December 31.

(There also happens to be an Eagles game at 1 pm that afternoon!)

For information on tickets to those events, as well as updates on the new Gingerbread Grille and more, be sure to follow Keenan's social pages - Facebook and Instagram

5 Mile Notebook

Though not an actual bar, you may recall Moe's Boardwalk, a pop-up themed after the zany watering hole in The Simpsons, which opened at 21st & Boardwalk in North Wildwood for Summer 2022. It lasted just that one season (most of it, anyway)... The Neighborhood Grille, located at the north end of the Keenan's complex at (aptly-named) Chestnut & Olde New Jersey Avenues, was established in 2021, a revamp of the former Cabana Grille
