Keith Urban named second headliner for 2024 Barefoot Country Music Fest

Keith Urban
, one of country music’s most popular and endearing stars, has been named the second headliner of the 2024 Barefoot Country Music Fest.

The singer/songwriter and guitarist joins Luke Bryan and an eventual roster of “40+ of country’s hottest artists” at the fourth annual edition of the festival, set for June 20 - June 24 on the beach here in Wildwood, NJ.

Born in New Zealand and holding dual Australian and U.S. citizenship, “Keith Urban has spent the better part of his life harnessing a deep-seated passion for music,” according to an official BCMF release. “This, when combined with his authenticity, talent and driving musical inquisitiveness, helps to understand why he is one of the most successful and well-respected artists in the world.”

Urban’s impressive resume includes four GRAMMY Awards, thirteen CMAs, fifteen ACMs, three AMAs and two People’s Choice Awards, in addition to nine consecutive gold, platinum or multi-platinum albums.

This year has been a busy one for the 55-year-old star, who began a Las Vegas residency back in March at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. He also released a new hit song, “Brown Eyes Baby,” was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and returned to American Idol (as both a mentor and performer).

Last year, Urban embarked on the massively successful “THE SPEED OF NOW WORLD TOUR 2022,” while continuing to produce top-selling music. His semi-autobiographical, arena-ready track “Wild Hearts” was nominated for two CMT Awards. It was released on the heels of “One Too Many” (a duet with Pink) from The Speed of Now, Part 1, which marked his fourth in a historic streak of simultaneous #1 album debuts in the U.S., Canada and Australia.

“The year served to remind music lovers around the globe why Urban is one of the world’s best live performers,” the BCMF release noted. “His concepts have become legendary - as unpredictable as they are explosive. An experience of emotion, musical texture, energy and showmanship.”

The announcement of Urban’s addition to the 2024 BCMF line-up coincides with the final day of the End of Summer Sale (Friday, September 29), which offers discounts on 3-day general admission, 4-day main stage VIP and 4-day Super VIP tickets, plus 4-day parking passes.
