PRESS RELEASE

THE WILDWOODS - The Wildwoods recently launched its new 2023 tourism ad campaign - "Get Lost In The Woods... The Wildwoods!" It highlights that the Wildwoods help you lose yourself in the best possible way, with everything vacationers could ever want in a safe, fun vacation experience - all on one 5-mile island.

The campaign features two all-new TV commercials showing highlights of everything there is to do in the Wildwoods, from relaxing on the Wildwoods' spacious, clean and FREE white-sandy beaches, to exploring the 38-block, world famous boardwalk with three action-packed amusement piers featuring over 100 rides and attractions, three beachfront water parks, great shopping, fun carnival games and flashing arcades, plus unique dining and nightlife experiences, watersports, fishing and boating, and more.

"The campaign definitely shows the versatility of the Wildwoods as a family vacation destination with everything you could ever want all on one five-mile island, so why go anywhere else?" said Ben Rose, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority (GWTIDA). "The 'Get Lost In The Woods' campaign is the culmination of many months of research and planning, and truly reflects the uniqueness of the Wildwoods as a family beach destination that can satisfy every member of the family."

The Wildwoods also offer a wide assortment of accommodations to meet everyone's needs and budget. With over 8,000 hotel-motel rooms, including beautiful beachfront hotels and motels, and over 3,000 vacation rentals including condos, townhouses and homes, the Wildwoods deliver a one-of-a-kind value for family vacations at the New Jersey shore. And with over 160 events and festivals throughout the year, most of them free, and an abundance of fun things to do, visitors will find something that excites and satisfies everyone in their family in the Wildwoods.

"Some shore destinations have quiet beaches, some have boardwalks, some have amusement rides and water parks, some have great restaurants and nightlife, but the Wildwoods have it all, offering everything from quiet serenity to fun and excitement and everything in between," said GWTIDA Executive Director John Siciliano.

The campaign also offers a call-to- action by giving away two 4-day, 3-night vacation getaways for a family of four with the "Win A Family Vacation in the Wildwoods!" online contest, to help drive visitors to the www.WildwoodsNJ.com website. The giveaway features two drawings, with the lucky winners being notified on May 26, 2023 and on October 27, 2023, giving visitors two chances to win. Each winner will receive accommodations for up to 4 people at a Wildwoods hotel-motel of their choice, four amusement passes, water park passes, meals, entertainment, Tramcar passes, mini-golf passes and other attractions.

GWTIDA will continue with its successful broadcast campaign in 2023 with 30-second and 15-second video spots on network and cable TV, video-on-demand and streaming digital video throughout the northeast and Canada. The campaign will also be integrated into the Wildwoods' social media plan using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram accounts. Online digital advertising will also be a substantial portion of this year's media buy, targeting females 25-54 years of age, families with children, millenials and multi-generational family vacationers. The total advertising budget for this new campaign will be $1.2 million for the 2023 season.

The Wildwoods' 2023 public relations strategy will focus on building the emotional relationships people have with the Wildwoods, and on continuing to change outdated public perceptions of the Wildwoods; as well as promoting all the FREE things to see and do and targeting specific attractors the Wildwoods have to offer, such as biking, watersports, beverage tourism, fishing, golf, shopping and more.
