THE WILDWOODS - The Wildwoods host the 23rd Annual Jersey Shore Ride to Defeat ALS, with bicycle riders joining together to put the brakes on ALS and advance the search for treatments and a cure, on Saturday, June 11.
The Ride to Defeat ALS is a one-day cycling event designed for people of all ages and riding abilities. The ride is an opportunity to rally together, honor and remember loved ones, and support the shared vision - to create a world without ALS.
There are five distance options - 6 miles, 25 miles, 50 miles, 75 miles and 100 miles.
The ride will be starting and ending at Morey's Piers in Wildwood with the first ride beginning at 7 am for the 75 and miles, and ending between 10 am and 3 pm. Cross the finish line with cheering crowds and enjoy festivities afterwards including entertainment, a delicious luncheon, and two complimentary weekend passes to Morey's Piers & Water Parks.
At this time, participants can register as a Rider (no fundraising requirement) and make a tax-deductible donation of $150 when signing up, and are not required to raise additional funds to participate in the ride (although fundraising is always appreciated and encouraged).
