County Zoo hosting daily "virtual school" sessions on Facebook during closure

Like just about every other potential visitor destination in the state, the Cape May County Park & Zoo announced earlier today that it will remain closed to the public for an indefinite period due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Zoo staff, however, is making the very best of the situation, while providing a new educational opportunity.

Starting tomorrow, March 18 at 11:30 am, CMC Virtual Zoo School will broadcast daily on Facebook, featuring virtual tours and animal spotlights.

Cape May County Zoo closes in response to COVID-19

All county parks and the county zoo are closed to the public and will remain closed in response to the outbreak of COVID-19. All scheduled events and programs are cancelled until further notice. All updates will be posted on our website and on Facebook.

If you or your organization have an education program scheduled or a reservation in the park, staff will be contacting you.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff guests, volunteers, program participants, and the animals in our care. The have been closely monitoring the constantly evolving situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak, and, based on the recommendations of the CDC, we feel it is our responsibility to do what we can to help reduce the rapid spread of COVID-19.
