March can be a month of great contradictions.
The old saying "in like a lion, out like a lamb" often holds true, though there's no accounting for Mother Nature's week-to-week mood this time of year.
What we can say for certain is that longer days are coming (daylight saving begins on March 10) and winter's days are numbered, at least according to the calendar (the first day of spring is March 20).
In the Wildwoods, the annual "reawakening" will intensify, with more and more businesses opening their doors in the weeks to come.
While the island's events calendar will kick into another gear next month, traditional St. Patrick's Day celebrations (weekend of March 15-17) serve as a major mile marker on the road to beach 'n boardwalk season.
Meanwhile, the Wildwoods Convention Center's schedule begins to pick up, with a variety of weekend events.

North Wildwood St. Patrick's Day Celebration & Parade
Saturday, March 16
The City of North Wildwood's annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration will begin on the steps of City Hall (10th & Atlantic Ave) at 11 am, and will be followed by a festive parade beginning at noon. Spirit Brands National Cheerleading Championship
Saturday, March 9 & Sunday, March 10

Mid-Atlantic Cheerleading Championships

Girl Scouts "Passport Around the World"

LocalGirl Scouts will present displays for countries around the world. Spring Bridal Fair

South Jersey's largest FREE bridal event returns! Special Olympics NJ Spring Basketball Finals

This multi-day event, featuring 1,000 Special Olympics athletes from the Garden State will take place at various venues.
