WILDWOOD – The City of Wildwood is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $190,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).
“We are grateful to the NJDOT for selecting Wildwood as a grant recipient for a Fiscal Year 2018 Municipal Aid Program,” said Mayor Ernie Troiano. “This funding will be used for the reconstruction of Cedar Avenue.”
According to NJDOT Acting Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Saccetti, the NJDOT Municipal Aid Program is very competitive. “This year the department received 656 applications requesting more than $298.6 million. There is $161.25 million available in funds from the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF).”
“Since 2011, we’ve worked diligently on improving streets throughout the city,” Troiano said. “This grant will go far in helping us making much needed improvements to Cedar Avenue.”
