Pickleball offered at Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center

WILDWOOD CREST – The Borough of Wildwood Crest Recreation Department is now offering indoor pickeball for residents and visitors at the Crest Pier Recreation Center, located at 5800 Ocean Avenue (Heather Road and Ocean Avenue).

Residents and visitors can play pickleball Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Equipment will be provided.

According to the USA Pickleball Association website, pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is played on a badminton-sized court with a modified tennis net.

According to many recent media reports, pickleball is considered one of the fastest-growing sports in North America.
