Boardwalk Coca-Cola sign to be refurbished, re-lit in 2018

After years of darkness, the giant Coca-Cola script sign above Harry's Corner at Boardwalk & Cedar Avenue is set to be fully refurbished.

The news was confirmed to Wildwood 365 by Randy Hentges, owner of A.B.S. Sign Company, which has been contracted by the Coca-Cola Company to bring this classic back to life.

The work will include a complete restoration of the bulb-studded letters, outlined in neon.

While a timeline for completion is still be planned, Hentges termed it a "winter project." He hopes to have the sign removed while the weather remains mild.

Work will then take place at the A.B.S. shop at 3008 Park Boulevard, where we will be documenting its progress.
