Crest announces Pacific Avenue street construction work

Construction work to replace sewer lines and to complete the paving of Pacific Avenue from Cresse Avenue to Rambler Road is scheduled to commence Friday, April 7, the Borough of Wildwood Crest has announced.

The work is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day weekend.

This vital infrastructure work will affect southbound traffic on Pacific Avenue in the construction zone, with all southbound traffic shut down from Monday morning through early Friday evening from Cresse Avenue to Rambler Road.

On weekends (Friday evening through early Monday morning), one lane of traffic will be open to accommodate southbound travel along that area of Pacific Avenue.

All intersections of Pacific Avenue from Cresse Avenue through Rambler Road are expected to remain open during the construction project.

Motorists are urged to use the other north-south roadways in the borough during this street construction project if at all possible. Motorists driving near or along the construction zone on Pacific Avenue should take extreme caution.

Construction work is not currently scheduled for weekend days. However, work may occur on some Saturdays should any unforeseen weather conditions cause delays in the project.
