Wildwood to Host City-Wide Yard Sale - Sunday, November 6th

PRESS RELEASE

The City of Wildwood will host its first city-wide Yard Sale on Sun., Nov. 6. The event will take place throughout the city from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The event is also open to the Five Mile Island neighboring communities of North Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and West Wildwood.

“This is the first time the city has sponsored an event like this,” said Mayor Ernie Troiano. “With the busy summer season now over it’s a great time for residents to gather and sell their unwanted items and an even better time for buyers to get things they need at a great price.”

City of Wildwood residents who wish to have a yard sale at their home will not have to pay the usual permit fee of $15 on the day of the event, said Wildwood Commissioner Pete Byron.  “This is a great opportunity for everyone to have fun while making money.”

In order to be part of the Wildwood city-wide yard sale residents must register with the City Clerk’s Office.  Applications are available at City Hall, 4400 New Jersey Ave. as well as online at www.wildwoodyardsale.com.

Residents in neighboring communities may register in their respective municipalities and then register online at www.wildwoodyardsale.com.

Maps noting the locations of each registered property will be available Fri., Nov. 4 at Wildwood City Hall from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

“We’re hoping for a tremendous turnout for sellers and buyers,” said Commissioner Tony Leonetti.
The city-wide yard sale is part of the “Fall in Love with Wildwood” campaign, which is sponsored by Boardwalk Entertainment.
