Rolling Stones tribute band at Centennial Park this Saturday, July 30

Some consider the Rolling Stones the greatest rock-and-roll band in the world. Fans of the Stones can get a taste of why this weekend at the Jersey Shore.

The Glimmer Twins, a tribute band that amazingly recreates the look and feel of a Rolling Stones concert, are set to play at Centennial Park Saturday, July 30 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series.

An eight-piece band, The Glimmer Twins are keen to give their audiences a close-up view and feeling of one of the many historical Rolling Stones performances from the band’s heyday. The Glimmer Twins’ possess an uncanny ability to capture the raw energy of a Rolling Stones show, while playing all of the band’s hits recorded over their illustrious career.

The strong resemblances to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in their prime coupled with the attention given to every detail both musically and visually help the The Glimmer Twins deliver a classic Rolling Stones experience to their audience.

The Glimmer Twins have appeared in venues all across the country and regularly perform up and down the East Coast to rave reviews. The Philadelphia Daily News once said The Glimmer Twins “demonstrate the dramatic difference between a cover band that plays the tunes and a tribute band that lives them.”

Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.

Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.

The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of live music every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park through Sept. 3.
