The status of this year's BeachGlow concert, proposed for July 4th, is in question following this afternoon's Wildwood Board of Commissioners meeting.
Heather Kunkel, representative for BeachGlow read the organization's prepared response to opposition from the Morey Organization and members of the community.
Several local business owners spoke out against the date and planned location of the event (on the beach between Mariner's Landing and Adventure Pier).
98.7 The Coast reports that Mayor Ernie Troiano and Commissioner Tony Leonetti stated that a contract has not yet been signed with the promoter, and that they do not favor the July 4 holiday weekend for the event.
Troiano now aims to put together a committee to work with the businesses community to determine the best course of action.
