Boys and girls teams from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia will compete in what has become the largest single-venue coed high school basketball tournament in the country.
Two-day passes and tournament passes to the Boardwalk Basketball Classic will be available at the door during the Battle at the Boards and during the Classic.
(Note: Boardwalk Basketball Classic all-tournament passes will not be accepted for the Battle at the Boards on Dec. 23.)
The Boardwalk Basketball Classic Tournament was founded in 1998 to raise college scholarship money for graduating seniors of the two high schools that host the tournament – Wildwood and Wildwood Catholic.
The event is made up of brackets named in memory of residents from the area. The 2013 tournament hosted over 70+ different girls’ and boys’ high school basketball teams from New Jersey and other surrounding states.
The Boardwalk Basketball Classic is strictly a not-for-profit event and has raised over $275,000 in scholarship money since its inception. The tournament’s committee is made up strictly of volunteers.
