Public Can Vote to Help Wildwood Crest Secure $25K Grant for Summer Music Series

WILDWOOD CREST – The Borough of Wildwood Crest has applied to receive a grant of $25,000 from Levitt Pavilions to support its annual Free Summer Music Series.

Wildwood Crest is one of several communities across the country in the running for the grant. Online public voting determines the 20 finalists for a grant, with Levitt Pavilions selecting the 10 winning grant recipients.

An individual voter may vote for up to five different submissions, but can only vote for each submission once.

Online public voting is open through Nov. 30. Winners will be announced on Dec. 15.

The Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series is held each Wednesday and Saturday from late June through Labor Day weekend at Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue. 

The series began six years ago and features a variety of family-friendly music that attracts people of all ages. Crowds have reached as high as 4,000 people at a given show.

According to its website, Levitt Pavilions is a national nonprofit organization that exists to strengthen the social fabric of America through live music. 

It partners with cities and towns to transform neglected outdoor spaces into welcoming destinations where the power of free, live music brings people together and invigorates community life.
