June is going out with a BANG!

The last weekend of the month kicks off today with the grand openings of two new businesses in Wildwood, and the season debut of Fireworks on the Beach tonight.

Fireworks will be launched from the beach at Pine Avenue at 10 p.m.

The show is FREE, as always, and visible from just about anywhere on the island. Rain date is Sunday night at 9 p.m.

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies will be held this afternoon as follows:

The Waves Restaurant, New Jersey & Oak Avenue @ 1 p.m.

After a successful "soft opening" during the 2013 summer season, the Waves Restaurant is primed and ready to go. The eatery serves traditional and specialty breakfasts and sandwiches. Its unique hours of operation allows diners to enjoy a made-to-order meal from 7 a.m. - Noon from Monday through Friday, and Midnight to Noon on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Waves Restaurant is family-friendly and can accommodate large group reservations.

To celebrate its official grand opening, owner Chris Falcone will be providing samples of his most popular dishes.

Turn Around, 4805 Pacific Avenue @ 2 p.m.

Turn Around is a unique new "upcycling" boutique in the heart of Downtown Wildwood. The consignment shop features a quality collection of men's, women's, and children's fashions, as well as furniture, artwork, home ware items and collectibles.

The boutique is forging a relationship with the Cape May County Technical School and students from their school-based volunteer program. Students have the opportunity to showcase their talents by adding individual artistic flare to clothing, jewelry, and furnishings donated to the shop.

Profits from these upcycled pieces will be divided between student scholarships and moms in need throughout the community.
