As we continue to "motor" toward summer, the island will hold one of its signature May events this upcoming weekend: The Spring Boardwalk Classic Car Show.
Cars will line the Boardwalk on Friday and Saturday, May 10th & 11th, from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
On Saturday night, the "Boardwalk Top 40" will be displayed, followed by a drive-in movie at Fox Park at sundown (weather permitting).
An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday morning at 9 a.m., with trophies and cash prizes to be given out in various categories.
The event, on the whole, is a colorful spectacle and lot of fun, even for non-car enthusiasts.
