Rest in Peace, Mr. Skeeball (1919-2013)

Wildwood has lost another friend, and a true character.

"Mr. Skeeball" Mitch Szymanski passed away yesterday - peacefully, we're told, while surrounded by his family - at the age of 94.

Szymanski was an institution at Mariner's Arcade for over three decades. It won't be quite the same, without hearing his familiar voice over the house mic or seeing him behind the counter.

We would like to send our sincerest condolences to Mr. Szymanski's family and friends, as well as his extended family at Morey's.

Thanks to Brian Foley, who snapped this memorial photo at Mariner's Arcade today.

Update:  Services for Mr. Syzmanski will be held Thursday, May 2nd at St. Ann’s Church in Wildwood. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m., followed by funeral mass at 10 a.m.
