Wildwoods Named a Top 10 U.S. Tourist Town by FamilyFun
PRESS RELEASE
FamilyFun magazine (www.familyfunmag.com), a trusted, go-to source for travel recommendations and family activities for more than 20 years, has recognized the Wildwoods as one of their Top 10 U.S. Tourist Towns in 2013 – as voted on by real families.
The Wildwoods will be featured in the April issue of FamilyFun.
In order to narrow the field of contenders, FamilyFun conducted an extensive nationwide survey of 2,000 parents with children ages 3 - 12, asking them to rate 360 popular destinations on a scale of one to 100. For voting purposes, the country was divided into four geographic regions – West, Midwest, South and Northeast – and respondents provided feedback solely for their regions. High marks were awarded for affordability, accessibility and fun factor.
Other U.S. cities recognized on the list include: Mackinaw City, MI, Monterey, CA, Lake Tahoe Region, CA & NV, Gulf Shores, AL, St. Augustine, FL, Duluth, MN, Traverse City, MI, Myrtle Beach, SC, Bay Harbor ME & Wilmington, NC.
“We’re extremely honored to be recognized by the readers and families of FamilyFun as one of the Top 10 U.S Tourist Towns,” said John Siciliano, Executive Director for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority (GWTIDA).
